Tomorrow Mattie, Tomorrow

Mattie is doing so well. They have weaned him off multiple medications and have turned the ventilator settings way down. The machine is doing very little breathing for him. If all goes as planned tomorrow will be the day that they will take Mattie off the ventilator!

This is incredible news all around. First it means his lungs are getting much stronger. Secondly, as you can imagine there is discomfort in have tubes down your throat! And THIRDLY!!!! It means Momma can hold Mattie boy!

Mattie still has several weeks of antibiotic treatment for the staph infection and he needs to continue to make improvements in eating. He is doing well with tube feeding though.

We are still trusting the Lord and believing that he can be transferred to Kansas City for his remaining care. Please pray for favor with the insurance company.

TOMORROW MATTIE, TOMORROW!!! Momma’s going to hold you tomorrow!

  1. Your arms must be aching with anticipation!!! Looking forward to seeing a picture of Mattie in his Mommy’s arms. : )

  2. When I read this you lept to mind. So thankful for the good news.

Teacher Debbie Moon’s first graders were
discussing a picture of a family. One little
boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other
members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted.
A little girl said, ‘I know all about Adoption, I was adopted..’

‘What does it mean to be adopted?’, asked
    another child.
‘It means’, said the girl, ‘that you grew
in your mommy’s heart instead of her tummy!’
