Today we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior- the One who IS “the resurrection and life” for each of us. “Through His mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade…” I Peter 1:3, 4

Today I am swept away in wonder at the word itself. Resurrection. The meaning of my daughter’s name, Emma Anastasia (total and complete resurrection) echoes in my ear as a reminder not only of what He is doing and will continue to do in Emma’s life, but what He is doing and will continue to do in each of our lives.

He has brought us from death into life. I rejoice in Life Everlasting today, but I marvel also that He is working in us to give us LIFE even now. He is writing our story, watching our destiny unfold, creating a masterpiece in each of us, and longs for us to feel the power of the resurrection as a reality in our hearts.

Father, would you pour Yourself out over us today. Would you reveal to us the reality of the resurrection, that we would would no longer live as those bound by the grave, but that would would live as those who have been redeemed and set free.

  1. I pray in agreement with you, tracie. thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am so happy that my Redeemer lives and gives me life everlasting. That the resurrection is NOT just a past or even future event, but a present and tangible miracle!
